Ahhhhh….I just sigh when I think of this wedding and all the thought that went into every detail to make this wedding perfect.  I actually shot this wedding back in January but I am finally getting around to getting it posted. (better late than never, right?)   The bride is the daughter of two of my good friends that I went to high school with.  Yep I’m feeling pretty old when I start shooting my friends kids weddings.  But that’s ok we had a fabulous time!  The wedding was at the San Diego temple and we lucky enough to get some shots down on the beach.  A couple of weeks later the reception was in Idaho.  I just fell in love with this bride and groom, they were always so happy and laughing.  This was such a beautiful event and I was so honored to be a part of it!  Enjoy :)

Vintage Fun

April 17, 2011

Oh What fun we had with this shoot.  It was like playing dress up as a kid and then taking pictures.  The bride had a very specific idea in mind and I was totally on board.  I started gathering vintage items and everything just seemed to fall into place.  I saw the old truck on one of my friends facebook page so I called and asked him if we could use it.  He actually had to tow it over to the location we wanted.  It was perfect.  Not only did this couple look good vintage style but if you look at the photos at the end of the post they looked pretty dang good in 21st century clothes too!  Wait and see what we have in store for their formals, I can’t wait!

Ok, so which one do you like better???? color black and white.  Leave a comment below for your preference.  Thanks!

I have known Tessa since she was a little girl and I am so happy for her!  Such a stunning couple, but don’t let them fool you they have a goofy side!  You may see that goofy side in a photo or two!  So excited to do bridals and wedding day for these two, I can’t wait!!!

So I told Justin and Tessa to engage in a passionate kiss when all the sudden, we heard someone say, “Come on, give her a good kiss son”  it was an old man sitting on his porch watching the whole thing.  They just couldn’t hold the moment any more and I just had to add the sequence of photos.  We all had a good laugh.

Spring is coming and with that being said, this shoot was mmmuudddyy!!  This poor bride to be never complained once as I made her tromp through mud in her stilettos.  When I saw them pull up in his truck I just knew the truck needed to be part of the shoot, that helped to put a smile on Kylers face ;)   Thanks Julie and Kyler for a great shoot!

I have known Alyssa for many years and I was thrilled when I heard she was getting married.  I was equally excited when I met Dallas and realized he was just as great as Alyssa.  It was a very snowy day and I had my doubts about this shoot, but they came from out of town so we decided to go for it anyway.  I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!!  I am so excited to shoot their wedding!!  Thanks guys :)   p.s.  All you blog watchers, leave a COMMENT!!  I love reading comments :)

Jessica and Alex

January 28, 2010

What a beautiful time of year for pictures!  So many people don’t think that wintertime is a good time to shoot pictures, but just take a look at these two and you may think differently.  Jessica has been my good friend for a couple of years and I was so excited to find out she was getting married and even more excited when I found out she wanted me to take the pictures.  Yes it was freezing and I was all bundled up, so I can only imagine how the two of them felt.  I cannot wait to shoot the wedding day and bridals!!!  Thanks Jess and Alex!

Justin and Dana

What a beautiful couple and I had the privledge of taking their pictures! I had Justin many moons ago as a student and I was happy to see he has finally decided to tye the knot ;) Dana waited six years for him to pop the question, what a patient girl! I just couldn’t take a bad picture of the couple! Justin owns a company that does extreme graphic design/art, so they were game for some very artistic grungy shots, I had so much fun. Thanks Dana and Justin and I cannot wait for the wedding!!!

I am so far behind on this blog!! I know people are checking it often to see if I have posted their pics. I am slowly catching up so if you are waiting, please be patient.

Now on to this cute couple, they had it going on! Lots of chemistry makes for great pictures. They brought their dog along for the shoot and he just kept us laughing. These two just look good together!!

Gentry and Tyson

Wow! What a beautiful couple! They were high school sweethearts and as you can see they are best friends. They were such a fun couple to shoot and once again so willing to do whatever I asked! The bride was one of my students one upon a time so I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding. Tyson was such a good sport even when I asked him to “frolic” through the grass. They take beautiful pictures and there are so many more good ones but I held back and just posted a few. Thanks Gentry and Tyson!!!
