San Diego wedding

March 16, 2010

This post is so long over due, but I guess better late than never right?  right! :) This is one of the longest posts but I had a lot to pick from and I just couldn’t decide.  It was so refreshing to shoot something so different.  I am used to shooting most of my weddings in Utah, so this was a real treat, to shoot a wedding in a beautiful chapel and the reception in a vineyard.

This was the sweetest couple ever!  The were married in a beautiful Catholic chapel and the recpetion/dinner/party was held at a beautiful vineyard.  We had so much fun and the weather was outstanding.  What a great day!  Stacy Rose photography was a second shooter and I am so grateful for her and all her assistance.  Thanks Stacy!

Spring is coming and with that being said, this shoot was mmmuudddyy!!  This poor bride to be never complained once as I made her tromp through mud in her stilettos.  When I saw them pull up in his truck I just knew the truck needed to be part of the shoot, that helped to put a smile on Kylers face ;)   Thanks Julie and Kyler for a great shoot!

I have known Alyssa for many years and I was thrilled when I heard she was getting married.  I was equally excited when I met Dallas and realized he was just as great as Alyssa.  It was a very snowy day and I had my doubts about this shoot, but they came from out of town so we decided to go for it anyway.  I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!!  I am so excited to shoot their wedding!!  Thanks guys :)   p.s.  All you blog watchers, leave a COMMENT!!  I love reading comments :)

Jessica and Alex

January 28, 2010

What a beautiful time of year for pictures!  So many people don’t think that wintertime is a good time to shoot pictures, but just take a look at these two and you may think differently.  Jessica has been my good friend for a couple of years and I was so excited to find out she was getting married and even more excited when I found out she wanted me to take the pictures.  Yes it was freezing and I was all bundled up, so I can only imagine how the two of them felt.  I cannot wait to shoot the wedding day and bridals!!!  Thanks Jess and Alex!

Wintertime…

January 22, 2010

As many of you know I only have boys so whenever my friend asks me to shoot her all girl family, I jump at the chance.  Dressed so cute in red it makes a beautiful contrast in the white snow.  It was very cold so we worked in turbo speed and cranked this shoot out in about ten minutes.  I was more than willing to take as long as we needed but those shivering little girls thought differently.  My friend and I always joke that she has four girls and I have four boys so at least one of them could marry each other, right?  Then not only could we be friends, but we could be related!

What else can I say about these bridals, they speak for themselves but I will add this one word:  LOVE.

Sweet baby girl..

January 18, 2010

I am on a roll with babies lately and I’m lovin it. I don’t know what it is about these little creatures but they just make me nervous, almost like I’m responsible for capturing a little piece of heaven. I am so much better at snuggling and showering them with hugs and kisses :) But I have to admit everytime I download the pictures of a baby shoot, I love it!

Baby Nash

January 4, 2010

This sweet little thing is my “great” nephew. His mom is my niece, which makes me feel oh, so old.  He was so good and molded into every position I wanted him to. I absolutely love the one of him on the wood floor in the basket. Congratulations Roz and Drew!!

November 19, 2009

My poor niece! I shot this wedding so long ago and she has waited and waited and waited so patiently for her pictures! So here they are and “wow” what an elegant wedding.

We decided to go early in the morning to the salt lake temple and do a pre-shoot while there was no one on the temple grounds. The grounds were in perfect bloom with tulips and daffodils everywhere, it was beautiful…..the day before! When we arrived at the temple grounds there were people everywhere. All the singles wards from BYU were on the temple grounds doing a “service project” of pulling out all the flowers and tilling up the dirt. Wow, thanks. ;) There were hundreds of people everywhere with shovels, rakes, wheel barels etc. So we tried to make the best of it and work around all the workers. I had to photoshop a worker here and there out of a few pictures, but overall they turned out pretty good. The reception was held at a restaurant up by Park City and it was breath taking.

Thanks Kayla and Kale for a beautiful day!
