I have known Tessa since she was a little girl and I am so happy for her!  Such a stunning couple, but don’t let them fool you they have a goofy side!  You may see that goofy side in a photo or two!  So excited to do bridals and wedding day for these two, I can’t wait!!!

So I told Justin and Tessa to engage in a passionate kiss when all the sudden, we heard someone say, “Come on, give her a good kiss son”  it was an old man sitting on his porch watching the whole thing.  They just couldn’t hold the moment any more and I just had to add the sequence of photos.  We all had a good laugh.

Saje and Austin

These two were meant for each other.  I have never shot a couple that had so much chemistry between them, but in a good way :)   I have no doubt they will have a long and happy life, they just seemed to make each other smile.  What a wonderful day, but don’t let that fool you, I had to photoshop the goosebumps out because it was freezing!!  They were introduced by his brother and her friend and they said they knew right away that they were meant to be together.  As for the John Deere tractor photos…he proposed on at John Deere tractor so we just had to get a few shots with one.  I am loving number one, which one is your favorite?

I have been working on a new blog and although it is far from perfect, welcome and take a minute to look around!  I wanted a blog that was easier for clients to navigate and had better quality when uploading pictures.  I wish I could say it was easier for me to navigate, but I’m still learning.  So there may be some bugs (ok, not may…there are bugs!) that will need to be worked out along the way so please be patient.  Hopefully each time you come to my blog it will just get better and better.  Maybe that will entice you to come back again and again ;)

In an effort to spend more time with my family, be a mom, be a wife and not go totally insane, I have decided after much thought to raise my prices.  I know, I know…I’m the queen of good deals so it’s hard for me to charge people more money.  But, I have to think of my family first.  I am hoping with increased prices I will slow down a little and really focus on fewer but more quality shoots.  IF you have booked a wedding for next year, you will get last years prices, so please don’t sweat it.  If you book a wedding after the date of this post you will pay current prices.  I am still in the process of changing the prices on my website so if you need the new prices, just give me a call.

I love photos and I want to continue to create beautiful images you can cherish forever.  THANK YOU!!!!

More to come…..

Just had to throw out an image from my shoot tonight.  I was so mad at the weather.  But I’ve decided to give up my total hate for the wind.  This picture makes it more of a “love-hate”  relationship.  Thanks wind, you really came through tonight, I’m not mad at you anymore :)

I was soooo excited to do this shoot!  I have known these two since they were just falling in love and sitting in the back row of my high school class.  They were totally meant for each other and it shows in these photos.  She waited two very long years and it wasn’t too long after he got home that I recieved that call from her asking if I would be available for their wedding.   I love seeing this story come full cricle, congrats you two!!

What a beautiful day not to mention a beautiful couple to make this a perfect wedding.  I had so much fun shooting this wedding because I am friends with the bride’s family.  So I also got to decorate for the reception, assemble the wedding cake and help out in the kitchen with food, it was a fun break from the photography for a little while.  But,  it also made me realize that I would totally suck at being a wedding planner, way too stressful  I think I’ll stick to my area of expertise and keep snapping photos :)   As far as the photos are concerned my favorite one is number 4, it was a total candid shot and I love how it is so full of emotion….totally 100% in love with one another :)   Which one is your favorite?

This post is so long over due, but I guess better late than never right?  right! :) This is one of the longest posts but I had a lot to pick from and I just couldn’t decide.  It was so refreshing to shoot something so different.  I am used to shooting most of my weddings in Utah, so this was a real treat, to shoot a wedding in a beautiful chapel and the reception in a vineyard.

This was the sweetest couple ever!  The were married in a beautiful Catholic chapel and the recpetion/dinner/party was held at a beautiful vineyard.  We had so much fun and the weather was outstanding.  What a great day!  Stacy Rose photography was a second shooter and I am so grateful for her and all her assistance.  Thanks Stacy!

Couldn’t wait…

Just had to add one of my favorites from a shoot I did yesterday, more to come

November 19, 2009

My poor niece! I shot this wedding so long ago and she has waited and waited and waited so patiently for her pictures! So here they are and “wow” what an elegant wedding.

We decided to go early in the morning to the salt lake temple and do a pre-shoot while there was no one on the temple grounds. The grounds were in perfect bloom with tulips and daffodils everywhere, it was beautiful…..the day before! When we arrived at the temple grounds there were people everywhere. All the singles wards from BYU were on the temple grounds doing a “service project” of pulling out all the flowers and tilling up the dirt. Wow, thanks. ;) There were hundreds of people everywhere with shovels, rakes, wheel barels etc. So we tried to make the best of it and work around all the workers. I had to photoshop a worker here and there out of a few pictures, but overall they turned out pretty good. The reception was held at a restaurant up by Park City and it was breath taking.

Thanks Kayla and Kale for a beautiful day!

I just had to post the pictures of this little boy helping carry her train…priceless.

This cute couple is ready for marriage! He is living in Idaho and she is living in Utah so they have had to live through a long distance romance so they are excited to end the comute and get married. What a beautiful time of year for pictures, so green and the flowers are just starting emerge. They were such a fun and relaxed couple even though I made them drive all over tarnation to find the right spot! Thanks Nancy and Steve!
