I absolutely love the rain, it’s my favorite thing!  I love the smell of it, the sound of it, the way it makes everything so clean.  But this spring the rain has made my life very difficult.  I have had to re-schedule shoot after shoot, which puts me way too close to the wedding for those couples that need their engagement photos yesterday and their formals that need printed by tomorrow.  I have been working so hard to get them all done before the big day.  This also puts a cramp in my style while working with my seniors.  I try not to shoot any seniors in the month of May, well that went out the window when we were still having snow during spring break!!  Trying to get all those seniors done before graduation was a project, lots of sleepless nights.  In fact there were a couple of nights I went to school without ever having gone to bed.  In fact one of students in my first hour said, “what’s wrong with you, you look like you dead, are you ok?”  Ah, teenagers, love their honesty :)

So, needless to say if I shot your wedding and you are still waiting for your photos, I am truly sorry.  Let’s blame it on mother nature for messing with my schedule.  I am slowly getting caught up and I have so much I want to blog.  I am hiring a secretary/assistant that will be running all my errands and keeping me organized, which I totally suck at. So maybe I’ll get some sleep :)

Ok, so now that I’ve written a novel, let’s get to this cute couple.  The day they chose for they’re engagements was non stop rain.  But they were both coming from out of town and she was just cast as Cinderella in a community play, their schedule was very limited. But they decided to just go for it and look what fun photos we captured with a little creativity and a few stops to curl the hair :)

Miss Machae!

May 23, 2011

I have had the opportunity to do many photos for Machae and she never disappoints!  She is beautiful and so much fun to work with.  She is ultra patient…thank you Machae…you know exactly what I’m talking about!  We had a lot of fun :)

All grown up!

It really seems like yesterday that Jaci was just starting high school!  We moved into her neighborhood three years ago and she was talking to me about her  upcoming class schedule at the high school for her sophomore year.  I cannot believe she is graduating!  She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out.  We had a fun time and we found some cool new places to shoot.  Also a big thanks to her mom for helping us get some wind blown shots! ;)

Marissa and I had so much fun.  She is such a beautiful girl!  Not only is she beautiful, she is very talented.  She has competed in pageants and done very well, I loved shooting her! (not literally)  ;)

This beautiful girl was one of my senior class officers this year and I am going to miss her like crazy when she graduates!  I was really spoiled with awesome officers this year which was such a blessing considering the trials my family has had to go through this year. Let’s just say I was kinds “checked out” during all of Bret’s surgeries after his accident.   They were such go getters and I never had to worry about things not getting done.  What a beauty she is and we had a great time.  I know I totally sound like a mom but I sure do love those kids! (aka: senior class officers 2011!)  Oh ya, and they bring me diet coke and chocolate, what more could I ask for? ;)

Sweet Taylor

May 9, 2011

We had to be creative with this Cache valley weather!  It was raining…again, so we had to think of locations that would give us a little cover from the rain.  Thanks Taylor for humoring me and going wherever I suggested!

Sir-Joshua Duo Baxter

May 9, 2011

Wow…that’s all I can say :)  I’ve never had a shoot quite like this.  Josh had me laughing the whole time.  I wish I could post them all, but he never failed to surprise me with some of his poses.  He was so funny and willing and able to do just about anything!  Thanks Josh, it was a good time!

These last three shots will give you a small glimps of some of the fun we had.  The first two are his “Fabio” shots.  Think romance novel cover…  The last shot, he stole his mom’s coat and was giving me the “sexy” look similar to one his sister had for her senior pics two years ago.  We’ll save the butt shots for another time ;)

This couple was so much fun to work with!  She could not stop smiling.  He had her laughing the whole time.  It was so fun to get so many great shots of them really being themselves.  I have known the bride for quite a while and I have never seen her so happy and so in love.  Much thanks Alysha and Josh…can’t wait for the wedding!!
