Maykayla was such a beautiful girl! She had so much fun and we laughed a lot. Once again she ventured into some places and climbed onto some things no person should have to go!

Welcome to my blog! I love seeing life through my camera lens and creating something beautiful. I want to create stunning images that are full of emotion. Whether that emotion be happy, sad, passionate, lovely, fun or funky. I love variety and try not to do the same thing twice. As a photographer I like to have fun and make people feel comfortable. I live in Cache Valley where I also teach high school, have an extremely supportive husband and four crazy boys.
I specialize in natural light photography with an emphasis on infant, children, seniors, family and wedding photography. In other words just about everything!
As always please leave comments so I know who you are :)

For the next little while you are going to see so many faces of gorgeous seniors. I love, love, love shooting seniors!! They look great and LOVE getting their picture taken. I have been so busy but have had so much fun these past couple of months with all my seniors. Each person brings something unique. Check out this beautiful blonde hair blue eyed girl.

Ahhhhh….I just sigh when I think of this wedding and all the thought that went into every detail to make this wedding perfect. I actually shot this wedding back in January but I am finally getting around to getting it posted. (better late than never, right?) The bride is the daughter of two of my good friends that I went to high school with. Yep I’m feeling pretty old when I start shooting my friends kids weddings. But that’s ok we had a fabulous time! The wedding was at the San Diego temple and we lucky enough to get some shots down on the beach. A couple of weeks later the reception was in Idaho. I just fell in love with this bride and groom, they were always so happy and laughing. This was such a beautiful event and I was so honored to be a part of it! Enjoy

Oh What fun we had with this shoot. It was like playing dress up as a kid and then taking pictures. The bride had a very specific idea in mind and I was totally on board. I started gathering vintage items and everything just seemed to fall into place. I saw the old truck on one of my friends facebook page so I called and asked him if we could use it. He actually had to tow it over to the location we wanted. It was perfect. Not only did this couple look good vintage style but if you look at the photos at the end of the post they looked pretty dang good in 21st century clothes too! Wait and see what we have in store for their formals, I can’t wait!

Ok, so which one do you like better???? color black and white. Leave a comment below for your preference. Thanks!

This is Porscha, she is a beautiful senior at Mountain Crest high school. I am calling this the broken glass project. The night before the shoot I had envisioned a shot of Porscha laying down with me looking straight over the top of her with her hair all messy and spread out. Well when we got to our first location I saw all this broken glass and what I had imagined got even better. But I wasn’t sure how she would feel about laying on a layer of glass. She was a trooper and did everything I wanted to do. I was so happy with the results. By the way, it helps that she is completely gorgeous!

My father in law had this old camera and I just happened to have it in the care from a previous shoot. I asked her to just humor me and pose with it.
Ok, if this blog were one of my children, I would indeed be turned into child protective services for neglect. I have been trying to update both my website and my blog because I wanted a “new” look, just really tired of the old one and needless to say I have been very slow. It has something to do with these children that live at my house and this husband that sometimes wants attention. Not to mention numerous other things that keep me from working on this. Sometimes I wish sleep was optional, all my best ideas come when I’m trying to sleep.
I feel guilty for sessions I haven’t posted and I want to go back and tell you about every single client and every single detail but it’s not humanly possible. So I’m sorry if I didn’t post your event or shoot. I am going to start out posting some of my sessions from 2011. I hear people say all the time, “I checked out your blog” and I just think oohhh, nooo, it’s not updated and doesn’t truly reflect who I am. So here’s to new years resolutions, even if they start in April.
And what’s a post on a photography blog without a photo?? So here’s a “peek” at some of the senior sessions I have waiting to be posted.
