The old saying goes that kids act the worst for their own mom…Case in point, I TRIED to take some pics of my own kids. I decided it was time and we needed some updated pictures of our own. BOY oh BOY, they made me work for my money, there was crying, punching, frowning, grumbling and sighing. What am I saying work for my money? I did it all for free and it was quite the experience. Needless to say I think we got some good shots. And later that night after they were asleep and the house was finally quite. I looked around and saw their earlier attire strewn about the house, popcorn spilled on the carpet, marshmallows stuck to the tv, I felt pretty pathetic as a mother. But as I sat and edited each little face I was reminded why I love each one of them. Family really is best, even when they growl and bite.

You are blessed with soooo many talents, but I think your favorite one is “being a Mom” and you do it incrediably well. Raising boys in my opinion is not about orderly houses. Your boys are lucky to have you and it is so evident that they are your whole world. I am so glad you took their pictures and shared them on your blog…. handsome guys!!!

My daughter will freak if I show her this. hee hee.. I get what you mean, about kids not wanting the own photographer mother to photograph them. Grrr! But you captured some great ones here.

Alana, I absolutely love the music you have put to your blog! I don’t know what it is about music, but it just gets your feelings going! I got chills reading your post and looking at the awesome pictures of your handsome boys! I agree when you say all the mess is worth it as we raise these precious children. I really need you to take my boy’s pictures!
